MY TAKE ON THIS BOOK
The author, Christina McGrath , gave me a ecopy of this novel in exchange for my review.
The book begins with Sarah Miller and her two sons moving to America so that her kids could be with their father(ex-husband) and his new wife. The dynamic between Sarah, Peter(ex-husband) and Natalie(new-wife) are amazing. The love and respect they share is something to behold. The author did a fantastic job of portraying Sarah’s character. Sarah decides to take a self-discovery trip and sets off on a road trip across America alone. Sarah finds herself falling in love with a MMA professional fighter, Marcus. As the book goes on they start facing challenges and we get to see how each of them handle it.
Now for the characters, sorry to the other characters in the book but Sarah steals the show people. The bond she has with her sons is something I wish to have in my future with my kids. There were times in the book where I started doubting the intentions of some of the characters towards Sarah and start guessing as to who is the bad guy. As you read the book you will become protective of Sarah. In some parts of the book, I felt Sarah trusted and forgave easily. The book had an interesting start then it was a little slow and then picked up. It was an easy read with a mix of emotions. I look forward to reading more books from Christina in the future.
I would like to thank the author for giving me the opportunity to review this book.
Go ahead and read this book guys!!!
